The Schoolhouse for Art is hosting the Enniskerry ArtFest 2014
on the weekend of the 17th and 18th of May.
The ArtFest is an inspiring and creative weekend packed with lots of artistic activities
for the whole family throughout Enniskerry’s beautiful Victorian Village .
The Enniskerry ArtFest 2014 schedule of events will include;
Art demonstrations. Throughout the weekend in the Schoolhouse for Art our artists will show off their talents for you to watch. There’ll be painting, sculpting, felting, textile printing, stained glass, mosaic, traditional drawing & printing techniques and more on show.
Schoolchildren’s art exhibition (theme: Biodiversity). An exhibition of Enniskerry students’ illustrations & paintings with awards and photo opportunities for all the family on Friday evening 16th .
Wood Sculpture Conleth Gent’s ‘week long’ carving in the SfA Sculpture garden. Come back each day and see the progress.
Outdoor ‘art on the railings’ exhibition by local artists throughout the village. Promises to be varied, colourful & festive.
Life Drawing sessions – clothed models in Victorian attire. See the artists sketch our Victorian ladies throughout the day.
Plein Air Painting in Enniskerry’s acclaimed gardens. A team of local artists will be inspired by the beautiful gardens around the village, watch how they capture the colours in oils & watercolours.
Print Making for adults with Botanical Artist Yanny Petters. Biodiversity is the theme, go for a nature walk in the Bog Meadow with Yanny, then create a set of fine art prints.
Galerie Lisette – Art on the Hill Exhibition featuring work by resident artists Ann Kavanagh, Ann Mckenna, Monika Fabjanczyk, Lucina Lennon, Aida Lennon
Monika Fabijanczyk – wet plate portrait photography.
Art & Craft Stalls. Choice crafts by local makers, enjoy the colourful hussle and bustle!
Peek Board seaside ‘selfie’ photo opportunity. Just like in the old days, grab a fun picture of you & the family to send to friends.
Face Painting – a must for the children!
Toddlers colouring session of artist Brigid O’Brien’s Village illustrations. All our lovely local shops; let your imagination run wild colouring them in to make the village festive!
Music and Entertainment – it’s a weekend of ArtFest fun.
Arty snacks in Enniskerry’s cafes and pubs. Order a special treat from the artists palette at your favourite hostelry!

Artists wishing to exhibit on our ‘railing gallery’ or display their work on one of our ‘craft stalls’.
If you would like to exhibit/ sell your work on our ‘railing gallery‘ or display your work on one of our ‘craft stalls‘ (indoor/outdoor) please submit the application form below for consideration.

Please Note: As this is an Art & Craft festival only Art & Craft items will be accepted in the Enniskerry ArtFest. Preference will be given to local Artists whose work is deemed to be acceptable/appropriate for inclusion by the Enniskerry ArtFest committee however other artists will be considered. The organising committee have the sole right to accept or reject applications without explanation.
All income raised from the Enniskerry ArtFest will be used by the Enniskerry Festivals Committee to fund/support ongoing Enniskerry community activities.
The Schoolhouse for Art management, staff or teachers receive no fees for their participation in the Enniskerry art Fest.
