WE’VE RAISED THE ROOF - THANKS TO YOU!
Our beautiful and beloved canopy was unfortunately damaged beyond repair during Storm Ashley. The canopy was installed back in 2019 for the ‘Big Chiseler’ Festival. The incredible wood sculptures made during that event are now dotted around Enniskerry Village as part of the landscape. The canopy was match funded by LEADER - Wicklow County Partnership who shared our vision to make this outdoor space an area for art, creativity and community.
We have used this space under the canopy for many amazing events over the past five years; art classes and workshops, exhibitions, markets, festivals, music, movie nights and other other community activities.
The incredible generosity and support we received during this fundraiser has been phenomenal. We would not have been able to do it without you.
This canopy provides many opportunities of activity to further enrich this beautiful village. If you have anything in mind that you’d like to see going on under the canopy please get in touch info@schoolhouseforart.com
To ensure the canopy’s longevity our plan is to have it dismantled and store safely away at the beginning of December to be put back up again early March each year.
What we didn’t expect was the level of support we received from the local community of Enniskerry and the wider arts community - and the call to get the canopy back up and running! We are so proud that together we have RAISED THE ROOF!
Thank you so much,
Schoolhouse for Art Team
