We need your support to help us fund a new canopy

Our beautiful and beloved canopy was unfortunately damaged beyond repair during Storm Ashley. The canopy was installed back in 2019 for the ‘Big Chiseler’ Festival. The incredible wood sculptures made during that event are now dotted around Enniskerry Village as part of the landscape. The canopy was match funded by LEADER - Wicklow County Partnership who shared our vision to make this outdoor space an area for art, creativity and community.

We have used this space under the canopy for many amazing events over the past five years; art classes and workshops, exhibitions, markets, festivals, music, movie nights and other other community activities.
The estimate for a new canopy is €13,500.

We were devastated when the storm hit and destroyed our iconic canopy. We had so many more events planned for this coming Christmas season and felt awful having to let so many people down. Unfortunately the insurance we had did not cover storm damage.

What we didn’t expect was the level of support we received from the local community of Enniskerry and the wider arts community - and the call to get the canopy back up and running! We couldn’t do it on our own but with your help this might be possible. Any donations big or small will go directly towards a new canopy which we will continue to use for art, creativity and community.
